What wood can you cut with the BraaiPlank Wood Splitter?
The BraaiPlank Wall Mounted Wood Splitter is designed to split medium to small pieces of wood for braai or fireplace use. For optimal performance and ease of use with this splitter, it's recommended to use soft to medium hardwoods, such as:
Pine: A softer wood that is easy to split and burns quickly, making it ideal for kindling.
Birch: Another relatively soft hardwood that splits easily and burns well for a consistent flame.
Ash: A hardwood that is still relatively easy to split, providing a good balance between ease of splitting and a longer burn time.
Oak (if well-seasoned): Oak can be more challenging to split but provides a long-lasting burn. Use well-seasoned oak to ensure it’s dry and easier to manage.
Avoid very hard or dense woods like hickory or some tropical hardwoods, as they may be harder to split with a hand tool like this splitter.
