Delicious Cape Style Braai Marinade Recipe
This is a recipe which gives a flavour of Cape Town. It's something I’ve used for years and works perfectly with meat products (beef/ chicken/ pork or lamb).
You can also use it for basting burgers on the braai!
YOU'LL NEED:

400 ml tomato sauce

300 ml fruit chutney

50 ml worcestershire sauce

100 ml soy sauce

500 g onion diced

80 g garlic chopped

150 ml olive oil

200 ml red wine

100 ml cola
-
50 g BBQ spice
-
50 g cracked white pepper
-
80 g Maldon salt

80 g chopped thyme
-
30 g paprika
-
10 g chopped chillies (optional)

Step 01. Mix thoroughly and leave it to rest in the fridge for 30 minutes
Step 02. Pour over the meat and marinade for at least 3 hours before cooking
Step 03. Baste with the marinade while cooking
Step 04. Serve and ENJOY!
